In a celebrity beauty landscape where some stars are refreshingly candid about their cosmetic treatments and others keep their routines under wraps, Priyanka Chopra Jonas appears to fall firmly in the former camp. The actress took to Instagram to share a video of herself mid-treatment, giving her nearly 100 million followers a real-time look at her XERF skin-tightening session.

For the treatment, Chopra Jonas turned to San Diego dermatologist Tess Mauricio, MD at her M Beauty Clinic. The XERF technology uses two radio frequencies to target multiple tissue depths, stimulating collagen and elastin production—the proteins that help give skin its structure—for firmer-looking results.
“The XERF system is the next evolution of skin tightening,” Dr. Mauricio told us as part of our 2026 Beauty Awards, where XERF won Best Radio-Frequency Skin-Tightening Treatment. “This structural skin-tightening treatment gently remodels the structure of the skin and restores firmness from within.” She added that patients “immediately feel tighter skin and experience additional improvement as collagen continues to rebuild in the weeks and months that follow.”
Why It’s Getting Buzz
XERF is still relatively new to U.S. practices, having earned FDA clearance in August 2025. That recent arrival is part of why our director of beauty, Britt Fallon, called out its stateside momentum in her note tied to its NB2026 win: “We are so excited to see XERF making its way into more offices stateside,” she wrote.
Fallon also pointed to one of the treatment’s biggest draws: “With no numbing and no downtime, it’s a game-changer for tighter, younger-looking skin.” Though “no numbing” might sound daunting, the treatment is designed not to need it: XERF uses built-in cooling technology to help keep the skin comfortable throughout the session.
It’s also worth mentioning that Chopra Jonas isn’t the only celebrity fan of the treatment.
