Jennifer Lawrence has never been one to dance around a beauty question. The Oscar winner confirmed she’s had a breast lift in a new interview with The Cut, published October 27, while debuting her “biodesigned” hair-care brand, Mes—available now.
In that New Yorker interview, she shared that she wants to feel put-together while raising her two sons. “I want to be a sexy mom,” she said. “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s**t together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s**t together.”
The confirmation comes about a year after Lawrence first opened up to The New Yorker about her plans and how her body changed after welcoming her second son with husband Cooke Maroney. “Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one,” she said at the time. “Second one, nothing bounced back.”
It’s an incredibly common (and totally normal) experience. Pregnancy and breast-feeding can stretch skin and shift volume, which is why a breast lift (often paired with other procedures as part of a mommy makeover) is such a popular procedure for women after having kids.
In that same 2025 interview, Lawrence was also upfront about how much her career plays into her cosmetic choices. Asked whether she’d still get her breasts done if she weren’t a famous actress, she admitted her job factored into the decision. “Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way,” she said. “But I think yes.”
The breast lift isn’t the only tweak she’s been candid about. Lawrence has said she skips dermal fillers because they can read on camera, and she likes keeping enough movement in her forehead to convincingly play characters who wouldn’t have access to celebrity dermatology. As for a facelift? She hasn’t had one (yet), but she’d join plenty of stars who’ve gotten real about their facelifts. “No,” she said when asked. “But, believe me, I’m gonna!”
Lawrence’s full interview is up on The Cut now. She’s also far from the only A-lister who’s open about cosmetic work. Here are plenty of other stars who’ve been honest about their injectables.
