Paige DeSorbo is busy. Between flights, podcast recordings and running her fashion brand Daphne, the reality star, Giggly Squad cohost and New York Times bestselling author is adding yet another title to the list: TRESemmé’s newly minted “Chief A-List Officer.”
Her new role comes on the heels of her first campaign with the drugstore hair-care brand for its Lamellar Gloss Collection—and now a second partnership tied to TRESemmé’s A-List styling line. Launched in 2025, the collection features a lineup of elevated essentials designed to make hair look its best for special occasions—or a random Tuesday when you want great hair.
To mark the moment, the brand released a short film campaign starring DeSorbo, complete with a few unexpected cultural nods. The spot is inspired by the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2, for which TRESemmé is a brand partner, and features Christian Siriano—whose runway DeSorbo walks in the video—with sleek, glossy hair styled using the brand’s products.
Ahead of the film’s release, DeSorbo chatted with us about why working with the brand feels full-circle, her go-to trick for making hair look like she tried harder than she did, the product that’s always in her travel bag and more.
You’ve partnered with TRESemmé before, and now you’re working with the brand again for the ‘Get Your Hair on the A-List’ campaign. What keeps bringing you back to the brand?
“I’m a lifelong TRESemmé girl. I honestly didn’t even know other hairspray brands existed when I was younger because my mom only bought TRESemmé. I can still picture that black bottle. As I got older and started traveling more, it was also the only brand that made travel-size hairspray you could actually find anywhere. So I’ve always been a TRESemmé girl. When they asked me to partner again, it was an easy yes. What else would I be doing?”
What was the most memorable part of shooting the campaign?
“Honestly, the whole thing. I actually brought my parents to watch while we were shooting, which made the moment feel really full-circle for me. They took me to so many modeling auditions and commercial castings when I was younger, so getting to bring them along and have them see it all happening was really special. And the whole shoot was so girly, which I loved.”
Everyone’s talking about ‘expensive hair‘ right now. What actually makes hair look expensive to you?
“Having a really good routine and your go-to products. I think silky, shiny, smooth hair instantly gives that expensive look. I also recently got into hair oil—I never used it before, but in the past couple of years I feel like it’s everywhere, and it really does make a difference.”
What’s your go-to hair trick when you want people to think you put in more effort than you actually did?
“A slicked-back ponytail. It looks so chic and polished, but it’s actually so easy, especially if your hair is a little greasy. When you see someone with a slicked-back pony, you think they worked so hard to get it perfect, but really it takes five minutes.”
Is there one product you’ve recommended the most in group chats or DMs?
“Dry texture spray. I have naturally straight hair, so when I curl it, it needs extra help to hold. Dry texture spray was something I didn’t discover until my mid-20s, and I wish I had known about it sooner. It completely changes how long curls or waves last.”
Do you have a travel-friendly hair product you always bring with you?
“The TRESemmé A-List Collection Styling Stick is amazing because it’s so compact. I hate packing a ton of hair products when I travel, so I try to bring things that can do a lot with very little space.”
I noticed you wore a side part at the Christian Siriano show last month. Are we officially in the side-part comeback era—or did it never leave for you?
“It honestly never left for me. I have a very opinionated Italian mother, and my whole life she’s told me, ‘Your face is for a side part. I don’t know why you’re trying to do a middle part.’ So even when middle parts were everywhere, I always had that voice in the back of my head saying my face looks better with a side part. I’ve stayed pretty loyal to it, even when I had a bob.”
On the subject of fashion: Ahead of the new ‘Devil Wears Prada’ movie, do you have a favorite hair moment from the original?
“When Anne Hathaway pops out after the makeover with bangs. I remember watching that scene and thinking it was the biggest moment ever. I think I was in eighth grade when that movie came out, and I was literally gagged. I’ve always been a huge Anne Hathaway fan.”
And last but not least, I have to throw in a chaotic question for fun: What’s the most unhinged thing you’ve ever done to your hair before an event?
“One time I didn’t have a straightener, and no one I was with had one either, so I used an actual clothing iron. I literally put my head on the ironing board and straightened the ends. I definitely don’t recommend it—but I was in a pinch, and it worked.”
