Miranda Kerr is no stranger to skin health. She’s the founder of KORA Organics, after all, and she’s open about the in-office treatments she’s tried to keep her skin looking its best. Over the years, the 43-year-old Australian supermodel has experimented with several lasers and tightening treatments, including AquaGold and Fraxel.
Open as she may be to certain procedures, that’s not the case for a facelift, at least not yet. During an appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s Let’s Be Honest podcast, Kerr noted that friends who’ve had the procedure look “amazing”—results that have given her something to think about. “I think that the one thing that’s important is to embrace whatever it is that you’re doing and not be afraid of sharing that or feel guilty for doing something like that,” she said.
Still, Kerr’s own approach comes back to the basics. “I think that at the end of the day, having healthy skin is really the most beautiful skin,” she said. Ahead, every in-office treatment Miranda Kerr has publicly discussed—including the ones she loved and the ones she skipped.
Sofwave
Sofwave is an in-office skin-tightening treatment that uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping improve skin laxity and firmness over time. “It’s supposed to work over time to help build collagen and lift,” Kerr told Cavallari.
Fraxel
Fraxel is a laser that helps address concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, age spots, acne scars and more, but it’s not one Kerr plans to try again. She told Cavallari that a previous Fraxel treatment left her with pigmentation afterward. (Laser treatments can sometimes trigger inflammation that causes the skin to overproduce melanin as it heals, resulting in hyperpigmentation.)
“Lasers for me don’t really do well with my skin, like they really don’t,” she said, explaining that the experience led her to develop products designed to calm inflammation and pigmentation.
Aquagold
AquaGold is a micro-infusion treatment that uses a device lined with 24-karat gold-plated, hair-thin needles to deliver a custom blend of injectables just beneath the skin’s surface. Depending on the provider and the patient’s goals, that blend can include ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, Botox, PRP and growth factors to hydrate, smooth fine lines and improve overall texture. Kerr opened up to Cavallari on a recent episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast, sharing that she tried it. “It’s like stamping on your face,” Kerr said of the treatment.
Her verdict was tentative, though: “I don’t know if I really noticed much of a difference,” Kerr said. She added that with so many aesthetic treatments available, it can be difficult to figure out which one is actually making the biggest difference.
