Kylie Jenner is making the case for soft-square nails for summer 2026, courtesy of her longtime manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, whose Instagram feed, filled with her clients’ manicures, has become a reliable preview of the trends about to go mainstream.
In an Instagram post shared Tuesday, July 14, Ganzorigt, aka @nailsbyzola, shows Jenner in a silver bikini, her hands raking through her long brown hair as her bright red manicure commands attention.
“Is this a soft square? I’ve heard it’s trending right now,” one of Ganzorigt’s followers commented, to which Ganzorigt replied, “Yes it is!” The nail shape is exactly what it sounds like: a square silhouette with gently rounded corners that take the edge off a traditional sharp-edged square.
Ganzorigt and Jenner aren’t the only ones backing the broader square-nail comeback. “The short, crisp square remains one of the most requested options because it’s practical, clean and works beautifully for everyday wear,” manicurist Svitlana Motyl told NewBeauty while discussing August 2026 nail trends.
The red polish is equally timely. Overland Park, KS nail expert Maryna Slynko also predicted a strong late-summer showing for the classic shade. “Warm red remains a timeless classic, but in August it becomes the perfect transitional shade between summer and fall,” says Slynko. “It adds confidence, femininity and elegance while staying relevant regardless of the season.”
