Few people had a bigger 2026 than Jordyn Woods. The orange Tux Clutch Mini she designed for her brand, Woods by Jordyn, became the Knicks\u2019 unofficial good-luck charm during their championship run, sold out and ended up on display at the Guggenheim. Two months after the title, she married Karl-Anthony Towns in Malibu. Now, with a new season underway and flu season right behind it, she\u2019s teaming up with Walgreens on its Don\u2019t Get Benched by the Flu<\/em> campaign, which brought a larger-than-life, basketball-inspired bench to Herald Square ahead of the Knicks\u2019 crosstown matchup. Here, she talks about staying well when the calendar won\u2019t slow down, what\u2019s actually in her game-day bag and what building a business has taught her.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, it\u2019s just my lifestyle these days: the people I\u2019m exposed to with being at the games and work and managing everything. It\u2019s so important for me to not get sick and prevent that, because there\u2019s too much to do and places to be and work to be done. As a business owner, having the pop-up and different things where I\u2019m around thousands of people, this was important to me because it\u2019s something that can help me stay as sharp as possible and tip-top and be able to be at all these places.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWell, the flu shot definitely helps. And just making sure that when you\u2019re done, you\u2019re keeping your hands clean and making sure you disinfect. I like to always shower after I\u2019m done with things like that and make sure I\u2019m clean and fresh. And then also taking your vitamins, being proactive about your health, trying to get as much sleep as possible, even though I can\u2019t say I\u2019m prioritizing that. But overall, just trying to remember to take care of yourself and do as many preventative things as you can.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I get a million things from Walgreens, from Aquaphor ($15) to allergy medication to lip balm, snacks, water, vitamins. Whatever you need. Sometimes a Celsius, you name it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI always have a bunch of things in my bag, from tech stuff to beauty stuff. I always try to keep a portable charger, a phone light, sometimes my extra phone, my lip balm, powder, a powder puff and a bunch of others. Sometimes a camera. I don\u2019t even know what I put in my bag today, but a mini brush. You never know what you need. I always keep a bunch of things in my bag.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I\u2019m trying to eliminate that pressure out of my life and really just go into the superstitions during the playoffs, because to me, that\u2019s when I am more superstitious. For the normal season, there\u2019s 80-something games. It\u2019s too much to try to maintain. For me, it\u2019s really just: I love clothes, I love fashion, I don\u2019t overthink it. I\u2019m just like, O.K., how can I show up and be comfortable? It\u2019s always really cold in there, so I like to wear a jacket. And I\u2019m really there to support. It\u2019s not really about me and my looks, even though people love it. At the end of the day, I\u2019m there to support.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, people do put a lot of pressure on themselves to do a million different things to get ready for their wedding. I personally didn\u2019t have the time to, because the Finals came, and then it was a bunch of press and this and that, and then it was a week or two before my wedding, and that\u2019s all I had. Overall, I love lymphatic massages. I got one every other day that week, and I got two facials. And that was it. But really just making sure you\u2019re not inflamed, sleeping, staying hydrated. I got an IV. That\u2019s about it. It wasn\u2019t really that crazy. And honestly, if I had more time, I probably would have done a lot more.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt taught me that every bump in the road is actually a positive thing, because you learn what not to do the next time. With the lucky bag, there was a lot of demand. With preorder, I realized I don\u2019t want a preorder model again because it\u2019s hard to gauge exactly when something will arrive if there are changes in weather or shipping or things that are out of your control. At the end of the day, if someone wants something, they want it then and there, and it just gets very tricky. But overall, having a business is a constant learning experience. I\u2019m just inspired to keep building the community of people that we have and bringing joy to people through fashion.
