New York Fashion Week came and went in the blink of an eye\u2014easy to say when you\u2019re watching from an iPhone screen, less so when you\u2019re in the trenches of the city. But one person\u2014nay, one A-lister\u2014added a little chaos of her own: Demi Moore, who attended the Thom Browne show on Tuesday, September 15, with a jaw-dropping short bob that\u2019s got the internet buzzing.<\/p>\n

As seen in a slew of paparazzi photos plastered all over our For You Page, group chats and beyond, Moore swapped her signature waist-length hair for a sleek, chin-length bob, blunt ends grazing her jawline, side-parted, with face-framing pieces tucked behind her ears for a crisp, glossy finish. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The transformation came as a surprise, to say the least. Just two days earlier, at the Magda Butrym show on September 13, Moore had stepped out with her long hair fully intact. And as much as we\u2019d applaud an actual chop, the cut was, as it turns out, a \u201cfaux bob,\u201d per New York hairstylist Hos Hounkpatin, who\u2019s behind the look.<\/p>\n

Moore posted her own photos of the faux bob to Instagram, cleverly captioning the carousel: \u201cBobbing around NYC for @ThomBrowne’s S\/S 2027 collection. Always a pleasure to be part of the world Thom creates.\u201d Fans, naturally, flooded the comments\u2014some begging her to keep the look, others mourning a haircut that, unbeknownst to them, never happened.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that this isn\u2019t Moore’s first viral Fashion-Week bob this year. Back in February, hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos gave her the wet-look \u201cDemi-tris Bob\u201d at Gucci’s Fall\/Winter 2026 show during Milan Fashion Week\u2014a dramatic transformation that turned out to likely be a wig, as she confirmed days later that her hair was still fully intact underneath.<\/p>\n
