Bath & Body Works is trading novelty jars for something a little more grown-up. The brand just launched its Reserve Collection, a new line of home fragrance with an elevated, minimalist look that\u2019s pretty different from the whimsical, kitschy packaging (glittery holiday labels, pickle-scented candles, pumpkin-carved jars) the brand\u2019s long been known for.<\/p>\n

Available now, the collection spans candles, room mists, liquidless reed diffusers and Wallflower plug-in refills, in five scent pairings: Santal + Amber, Sea Salt + Musk, Lavender + Jasmine, Vanilla + Tonka and Sweet Orange + Agave. The star of the show, according to this editor who\u2019s tested the range, is the brand\u2019s 30-ounce ceramic candle, which has a soft, two-tone glaze and a fluted bottom that looks stately as decor and, happily, lasts around 70 hours. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And beyond its looks, it smells elevated too. I\u2019ve been testing Vanilla + Tonka, and it\u2019s nothing like the syrupy, one-note vanilla candles that often crowd the candle aisle. Vanilla bean gets grounded by cedarwood and musk instead, giving it a warmth that envelops the whole first level of my home. It\u2019s luxurious enough that when my mother walked into my home the other day, she assumed I\u2019d splurged on a triple-digit candle. <\/p>\n
