Harlow Jane picked up the phone less than 24 hours after Peacock’s The Five-Star Weekend<\/em> was renewed for Season 2 (she plays Caroline Shaw, daughter to Jennifer Garner’s Hollis Shaw), and the excitement hadn’t worn off yet. Hollywood is in her blood\u2014she’s the daughter of Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette, granddaughter of Lewis Arquette and part of a sprawling Arquette family tree\u2014but talk to her for five minutes and the r\u00e9sum\u00e9 doesn’t come up.<\/p>\n \u201cI learned about using hot towels to take off your makeup on this set!\u201d she says. \u201cIt really makes a difference!\u201d Here, Jane talks about the sisterhood behind the show, the body oil she makes from scratch and the wellness advice she picked up from her mom.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOh, it\u2019s so exciting. It feels so good, and I\u2019m so glad. I think it\u2019s clear as day when you watch the show that the relationship between these five women is so magical and so strong, and everybody loves each other so much. We\u2019re all ecstatic to see each other again in that capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s tough, because you never know how something will turn out when you\u2019re in it, but we all knew there was something special in the fact that we were all women. That set was so dominated by women in the best way. I\u2019m still pretty green, but I think all of the actresses were pleasantly surprised by how genuine the friendships and family dynamic we were building just were.<\/p>\n It was the most beautiful thing. I have so many fond memories of sitting in the makeup chair in the early mornings with all the girls. I was the baby, and it felt really nice to have all these aunties looking out for me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey got me such a wonderful gift while we were filming: the Osea Undaria Body Oil ($52), which I love so much. I\u2019ve been using it religiously when I\u2019m not making my own body oil. They took such great care of me. I never knew the importance of having a hot towel after you take off your makeup\u2014it really does make all the difference!<\/p>\n I\u2019ve been on so many sets where my skin just goes to hell because you\u2019re wearing makeup for hours and they\u2019re constantly touching it up. I wouldn\u2019t say I wear makeup in my everyday life, so skin prep was 100 percent the most important part of our process.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOh, let me pull up the recipe for you. So far, I just do a palo santo body oil because it just smells so good. For eight ounces, you want 220 grams of hemp seed oil, three grams of Palo Santo essential oil and one gram of vitamin E. You heat that and mix it, then let it sit in a dark spot for at least two to three days because she ripens\u2014she gets better with age. It really is the best. Palo Santo is great for your skin; it\u2019s got some firming properties and it just smells so good.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYes. My mom has been such a rock for me to lean on with all of her expertise. She\u2019s got all the little tips and tricks, but really, on the mental health and wellness side, she\u2019s a very big proponent of therapy. She gives the best advice. I\u2019ve learned that it\u2019s important to keep friends around you who will always be there to bring you back to earth, because in life, anything can happen that\u2019ll send you every which way but up. When they can pull you back down, it\u2019s really important.<\/p>\n Beauty-wise, I remember sitting in her makeup trailers when I was young\u2026she always does a face mask, always, just a thin, hydrating sheet mask beforehand. Sure, she gets dressed up for the red carpet and all that, but her beauty in life is very clean. She puts on the most beautiful oils imaginable\u2014I think that\u2019s why my oil obsession is what it is. She slicks back her hair and pairs it with a red lipstick, and she\u2019s just the most beautiful woman in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\nGetting the go on Season 2 is big!
