Sarah Ramos hit The Bear\u2019s<\/em> final season premiere circuit eight-plus months pregnant and, somehow, glowing. The actress\u2014known for her breakout on Parenthood<\/em>, HBO\u2019s Winning Time a<\/em>nd the viral COVID-era digital shorts she made with Dylan O\u2019Brien\u2014is having a moment that feels cosmically timed and utterly packed. She\u2019s wrapping one of television\u2019s most beloved series, celebrating Netflix\u2019s Little Brother<\/em> release with John Cena and<\/em> growing an actual human being, all while fielding the kind of press week that would exhaust anyone at full capacity. In between it all, the 35-year-old talked to us about product, premieres and why the hardest part is “just getting there.”<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s like going to the gym. The hardest part is getting there. Before you start, you\u2019re dreading it\u2026and then once your hair and makeup people are working away, you\u2019re like, this is actually fun.<\/em> I forget I\u2019m pregnant, and then I see the pictures, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh. Right. Right.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI honestly love when makeup artists bring skin care I\u2019ve never heard of before\u2014these cooling metal tools, face masks, high-tech stuff. It puts my own routine to shame, honestly. <\/p>\n At home I just use a tinted moisturizer I picked up in Paris. It\u2019s called the Caudalie Vinocrush Skin Tint. It\u2019s incredible, but they don\u2019t sell it in the U.S. I went to Sephora to restock, and the Caudalie rep told me, \u2018We don\u2019t do makeup.\u2019 I said, \u2018Yes, you do! Just not here.\u2019 So, that was a big disappointment. But when I see what the makeup artists do on set, it was a whole new level. Mad respect.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cReally grateful! It\u2019s been an incredibly busy year. We were filming Chicago Med<\/em> and a One Chicago<\/em> crossover at the same time as The Bear<\/em>, all while I was pregnant. Matt, my husband, was in New York working on post-production for Little Brother<\/em>. And honestly, all of that is harder than any press week. The Bear<\/em> starts shooting early; you\u2019re at set by 5 a.m. to be camera-ready by 7. It\u2019s early! The hard part and the fun part just go hand in hand. I genuinely don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen once the baby actually arrives. I assume I\u2019ll be down for the count for a bit. [laughs<\/em>] For now, I\u2019m just having fun until then.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so fun. Fans are incredibly observant. They catch things I didn\u2019t even notice on my first watch. Someone on social media pointed out that in one scene, when Richie and Jess touch hands, she actually runs her thumb over the top of his hand. It\u2019s a wide shot. People had already rewatched the whole show and caught that.<\/em> That\u2019s the kind of detail-oriented audience this show has, and it\u2019s just a privilege to be part of something people care about that much. As for the ending\u2014no spoilers\u2014but I was really moved by it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s insane. [laughs<\/em>] I wish I had something more profound to offer, but that\u2019s genuinely where I land: This is insane. When I saw Peter Krause and the rest of the Parenthood<\/em> cast recently, we just kept saying, \u2018Can you believe it?\u2019 I can\u2019t! I think once the baby actually comes, I\u2019ll be imbued with some great wisdom and have a whole new perspective on everything. For now, I just know I \u2019ll look back on this chapter and understand it a lot more clearly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\nYou\u2019ve been doing press all week\u2014hair, makeup, styling, interviews, the whole thing\u2014while very pregnant. What\u2019s been the hardest part?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
